Top 5 Film & Television Apps on Android in Portugal Q2 2024

The second quarter of 2024 saw significant activity among the top Film & Television apps on the Android platform in Portugal. Here are the highlights from Sensor Tower's data.

Disney+ experienced noteworthy revenue growth. Starting at around $19.7K in the first week of April, the app's weekly revenue peaked at approximately $35.9K by the final week of June. Weekly downloads fluctuated, initially around 6K and ending at a steady 5.3K. Active user numbers saw a slight decline, starting at 209.8K and closing the quarter at 184.8K.

Globoplay: Futebol Brasileiro! also showed interesting trends. Weekly revenue hovered between $5.4K and $7.4K, with a slight dip mid-quarter. Downloads remained relatively stable, averaging around 600 per week, while active users peaked at 59.5K in late April before settling to 50.9K by the end of June.

HBO Max: Stream TV & Movies experienced a decline in both revenue and user engagement. Revenue saw a significant drop from $9.7K in early April to almost negligible amounts by late June. Downloads followed a similar trend, decreasing from 3.3K to zero. Active users decreased from 18.2K to 5.8K over the quarter.

Crunchyroll had a steady performance with a slight increase in revenue, peaking at $6.2K by the last week of June. Downloads peaked at 4.5K mid-April, then stabilized around 1.3K. Active users saw a peak of 28.3K in April, ending the quarter at around 21.5K.

Finally, Max: Stream HBO, TV, & Movies showed rapid growth since its release in February 2024. Weekly revenue reached approximately $12.4K by the end of June. Downloads surged to 32.6K in mid-June, and active users followed a similar upward trajectory, peaking at 68.1K.
